“Suspected” Terrorists: IMPORTED

Submitted by moodz on Tuesday, 21 August 200711 Comments

News of the arrest of 6 Bahraini citizens with accusations relating to terrorism has surfaced around news agencies world wide, with very little information against the nature of the accusation or even the names of those arrested in local newspapers. The appointed lawyer for the accused went public with the names, and lo and behold! The same group was arrested earlier in February 2003 and then again in 2004 for the same accusations, we later learned that files detailing the manufacturing of chemical weapons and explosives were recovered from their personal computers, weapons smuggled by one of the accused who worked in the local Army were also recovered. The case was dismissed for “lack of supporting evidence”.

Of those detained (in all three incidents) is Mohie Uldin Khan (Born in Lebanon on 26/7/1961, from an Afghani Father and a Lebanese Mother). Khan finished his studies in Saudi Arabia, later failed to acquire his university degree from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dahran. He owned a home, supported a family of 8 by working for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, before being exiled from Saudi Arabia to Bahrain for suspicions of his connection to AlKhubbar Bombing in 2001 and for “activities of abnormal practices” this is according to AlYawm Newspaper [Full Source Here / Arabic]

This guy has no connection to the country, now beside the fact that neither of his parents carries the Bahraini citizenship, Khan spent all his life in Saudi Arabia where he studied and worked, and even went on trial as a suspected terrorist; on what basis was he granted the citizenship, heck.. The CV he submitted when he ran for the parliament [Copy Here] has nothing to do with the country, the guy never actually lived here, and now he is portrayed by a number of the local societies as a hero and national symbol.

*sigh*

This is exactly how I felt, I didn’t want to go on ranting about the subject.. As cases of granting the citizenship to suspected terrorists that actually went on trial on various countries around the world did occur, I have a gut feeling that this is only the tip of the iceberg we get to see here..

    The consequences?
This happened right after the release of the suspected cell earlier in 2006, and it wasn’t much long later that 900 U.S. military dependents were ordered out of Bahrain — because of the security threat..

    Lovely eh?

From the first time I’ve heard about this guy I knew he was actually naturalized …

Is there any bahraini who is named with mohyee -el -deen and khan except for an Indian or Pakistani ,,,,

And I was close … he was of Afghan origins ,,,

Another too , with sectarian hatred pouring from his head his name is Hassan al – Husseini ,,,
They say he is of Afghan origins too ,,

Its not that I’m biased to Afghani people, but that sectarian hatred or ideas relating to al qaeda are imported from outside ….
