Rant: Female Attractiveness

During my daily news round up, I come across this article on the BBC Network explaining that British women do not see “macho men” as a sound bet for a long-term partnership, preferring those with more feminine features (Full Story Here) and it wasn’t so long ago that I saw something quite the opposite (it took a while to dig it back up, but whatever haven’t been getting proper sleep this past week anyway) reported via Reuters:

Muscular young men are likely to have more sex partners than their less-chiseled peers, researchers at the University of California Los Angeles said on Monday.
Their study, published in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, suggests muscles in men are akin to elaborate tail feathers in male peacocks: They attract females looking for a virile mate.
“Women are predisposed to prefer muscularity in men,” said study author David Frederick of UCLA.

Ok, this sounds like common sense right? A healthy young male with a six pack is more likely to get laid than a couch potato with beer belly right? WRONG! Not in the UK at least:

Men with feminine faces will be luckier in love as most women are attracted to them rather than masculine men, Liverpool University scientists say.
While square-jawed men attract beautiful women, the less macho ones have a wider choice as their face type is more in demand. Via BBC

I wonder what it is that women find attractive in men in this part of the world. But wait, we’re just not that shallow right? We look at deeper things, things that matter, meaningful things that stay! Fancy cars, fat paychecks, nice phone number combinations, a house. We all know that looks aren’t what really draws Arab women to men! And the evidence is all over the place. I mean, there are plenty of flabby, worthless, ugliest-people-you’ve-ever-seen, and they’ve got babes draped all over ‘em!

But honestly now, the Arab definition of beauty is just way too weird, a copy of the ever so famous Layalina Magazine fell into my hands earlier today, I was just shocked as to the amount of makeup those young girls use on themselves. I couldn’t help but imagining how much foundation cream mac could be selling in Bahrain, probably making a fortune of those poor people.

Beauty is just a huge dilemma, girls want to give out the impression that they are decent and courteous while in the same time look attractive and sexy, and it’s very funny how the final product looks like.

It is truly amazing to see how the laws and traditions of different communities and cultures affect the way it’s people define beauty and attractiveness.

But to be attracted to guys with feminine faces?!

But Come on now Moe, do you want to tell me that Bahrain is the only country in the world where Women are generally attracted to Men who make/Have/Look like they Have, More money!!

I mean we have men doing that!! and from the looks of the average income, any wise girl should think twice before getting involved with a broke Arnold, I don’t mean that love should be a material thing and damn sure not saying Hate people who have no money.

Some do over do it tho, and to be honest, they pissed the crap out of me, specially they days when I was not only broke, but also single!!

Actually, the two studies are quite heterogeneous in regard to what they measure.

While the UCLA study stressed the finding of ‘higher probability of getting laid if you’re macho’, the Liverpool Study found that too, but also the finding of a ‘higher probability of a stable relationship going for men with more feminine looks’.

well quite agree with the make up stuff… look at the chiqs here in kuwait, goodness christ! local chiqs here with and without make up can be two totally different species…!!! and its quite true,, fat pay checks, sexy wheels, a combination based mobile number and bein a brand only shopper attracts all types of chiqs..
