    first in queue ! :mrgreen: tell you what moe ! 1st episode was good on my car speakers mate ! :wink: I was fearing that the transmitter would bugger things up but it sounded clearer than on my macbook ! Keep up the good work mate ! :wink:

    Very nice music man .. Yes, this one is better than your previous podcast and hopefully your next podcast will even be much more better.

    I personally enjoyed listening to the whole podcast but in the beginning, the music was louder than your voice. So your voice was not very clear, you should’ve decreased the music volume a bit. But when you turned the music off and had your political part, your voice was very clear and loud.

    Good effort moodz, i agree with munther.. last weeks’ sound quality was better..
    Interesting topic though, Keep it up bro !

    wouldn’t he just make a great host on 96.5? :wink:

    Imagine yourself listening to this while driving to work in the morning! Wallah 3ajeeeb :cool:

    Great podcast. I liked the idea of playing music background and the fact you managed to talk about different topics. Keep it up and we’ll be waiting for those podcast to come every Friday.

    All the best.

    Sorry :)

    :mrgreen: You made me forget what I wanted to say: Great rant first thing in the morning. I chuckled (ghasait 3ala el coffeee malllliii) when I heard about the BD1 mic from Ramez! lol! Every time I am talking to my sisters or mum on Googletalk .. and the sound cracks up.. I yell at them: Ru70 Ramez el mic eb dinar!! As to the Mushaima and Co. fiasco.. I think we should have a bloggers’ meeting with them and get to the bottom of what is going on. Since newspapers give us a partial story, we can live up to our names as citizen journalists and find out for ourselves what is really going on.

    awwww.. have I just heard my name?

    I only listened up to the “ba7ebak ya 7mar” bit this morning ’cause you know why. A7een I decided to listen to the whole thing while cleaning up my room ela asma3 esmmmi.. so cute :roll: and you know I always take your insight into consideration. Thanks!

    Mo, what a podcast. I love it :smile:

    Nothing much to add on the comments above. I suggest though that you record your voice alone then add music and stuff afterwards. I recommend audacity software. It’s free and easy to use. Ohh yeah, I also suggest that you add a little text snippet below the mp3 player briefing the content of the podcast. It would work as an intro to your podcast and as a reference to the content in case we need to get back to it.

    As for the content, I’m not much into politics but I enjoyed your talk as much as your blog entries. You and the rest of the Bahraini bloggers are my prime source of political analysis now :smile:

    I also agree with the comment about the degradation of Arabic music. It’s very much true for English music as well. Just look at hip hop and R&B. It so rubbish and sex driven that sickens me. I’m sure the porn industry found its ticket to invade mainstream markets through them.

    The thing with English music is that options are much more and there are still good ones out there. Decent Arabic musicians are a handful and somehow very similar in their offerings. I die for some fresh decent arabic music. Any suggestions?

    Good luck man and keep it up.

    Thanks for your encouraging comments everyone. As I stated in the podcast, I am still in the experimental phase. I will get a better microphone (yes my current one is worth one dinar, it is broke and yes it is from ramiz) a better one would fix the sound thing for next weeks podcast and I’m defiantly decreasing the volume of the background music, other than that I believe the sound quality was not as bad I thought it to be (for the most part at least).

    @BuZain:
    I was really waiting on your inputs on this one, I’m quite happy with my current sound recorder though but thanks for your inputs. I am having a slight problem as to the excessive bandwidth consumption podcasts are causing me now though. My hosting package comes with an 8GB monthly bandwidth limit, with plain text and the usual graphics I use monthly visitors consume an average of 3-4GB of bandwidth per month. Now with the podcasts the usage has jumped to 5.5 GB just for May (And that’s 2 podcasts only). I have been considering buying alternative hosting package for the podcasts (which I will obviously going to use also as backup storage for my files and such), I found a couple of online storage service providers online, which will cost me around $6 a month. Any inputs on this?!

    Moe, you just inspired and Idea here, an online radio channel, yabeela.

  • BuZain said:

    can’t help you much with hosting mate. There are tons of options out there. It all depends on how much you are willing to pay :wink: Have you checked with Mahmood?

  • Cradle of Humanity said:

    Check GoDaddy.com, they have a decent service with good pricing.

  • moodz said:

    @Eyad:
    Various internet radio stations broadcasting from Bahrain were launched and still continue to on Muharram and Ramadhan to broadcast lectures and activities relating to the occasions, but seriously man.. most of us (including me) find it hard enough to maintain a blog with one post every two days. Let alone managing an radio station. I wonder if it would be illegal though!

    @BuZain:
    ما منك فايدة، لا وشادين الظهر فيك بعد

    @Cradle:
    Thanks for the tip, defiantly the best I came across so far in terms of the prices, not so sure as to the standards though. Just incase anyone is wondering, I have decided to continue posting my podcasts on SwitchPod.com with their free 200 MB Package before transferring it to GoDaddy. 60 bucks saved!

    Moe, illegal shmillegal, haha, I just said its an Idea, really far from reality, between work and school I don’t even have time to write something on my blog, but that is doable.

    and about Hosting, my offer is still valid!!!

  • moodz said:

    How about doing your masters self-study, maintaining this blog, working 9 hours shifts everyday, and working out for 1 hour 45 minutes 5 days a week? :wink:

    It is you who sets the limits for yourself bro, just raise the bar up a notch!
    Thanks again for the offer, the problem is already solved as up above..

  • Eyad the Great said:

    @moodz

    I know what your saying, I’m doing some research now and lets see what happens, the Idea is really tempting.

  • BuZain said:

    @Moodz
    hopefully I’ll be helpful in some other matters, like identifying flaws in your posts competing with Cradle of Humanity :twisted:

    Just kidding mate. Couldn’t hold the urge to respond back :smile:

    I honestly tried to search a bit to help you out but got totally lost with the tons of offers I found. In my previous job, I used to lease hosting servers from DataPipe but their current offers are not that competitive for a personal blog.

    Ok, we can all stop using the comments section on my blog as a public chat now! :mrgreen:
