Moodz, I hated the last bit, I hated it I hated it I hated it!!!!
OK, about the good stuff, I actually do agree, our National Radio and TV are useless PERIOD.
I can go own and own on how big of a money waste MOI is, but then again, why is there even a ministry to control and regulate information??
Radio Bahrain, and I will only talk about the English channels (96.5 and 101.0), 96.5 is just a Jukebox for the latest and greatest in teenage music mostly, the shows that play good music are pushed to times when no one really bothers and listens coz those don’t make any money in the advertising department.
101. half of the air time is just a copy of 96.5 and the other time is bits and pieces from the BBC or other channels.
why don’t we have any real talk shows, OK we understand that these channels are own by the government and wouldn’t talk about politics but that not the only thing that matters the street, and its not the only problem we have in Bahrain.
The youth love the radio, and if it talked about problems that they face or will face while growing up they might listen and it could be a good way the fix some of the many problems.
Nice podcast moe, good luck.
First of all, thanks for the podcast
I think the reson why our youth ‘ilshabab’ live such shallow lives, just cruising and bluetooth and nothing productive is that most of the GCC countries (والله يديم النعمة عليهم) are well of, as long as they get their fat paycheck for showing up in the office at 8am and leaving after Al-Dhohor prayer, buying euro cars and going on lavish holidays to Europe and South East asia in the summer.. they get everything they possibly want, so why give a damn bout anything
and what does my head in, is that our Bahraini youth want to be like them! Just go to Bokowara and you see the Qatari wannabes..
on another note, a technical one actually, how do you do a podcast? :$

Hey .. nice podcast, loved the music!
I think people are becoming shallower because of religion. Now I don’t mean religion is bad. Human by fe6rah need religion, you need religion to enable us to live as humans and not animals but we are not using it this way, we r using religion as a strict manual of life. Its like people have stopped thinking of what’s wrong and what’s right and why is it wrong or right and are just purely relying on religion to tell them what to think, what to do , how to act, and of course when we have the religious leaders that we have now we end up being just like blind mice following another even more blind mouse or else how would you turn DOCTORS into mojahedeen n get them to blow up them selves into airports. I still remember how it was for me back in school in the religion class, whenever I asked of something I was told “NO! Don’t ask! Don’t THINK or u will become kaferah, god is too big for you to understand so don’t think just follow”. These were the words which were taught to us. moodz how do u expect to create an innovative generation of leaders if we are only taught to follow , how would u make a person THINK for himself that throwing cans in the street isn’t right or that there is more in life than just living it as if it is all around u and no one but u ?
Theater? I remember the old days of abdulla al sa3dawy and 3raify who mad those wonderful plays till I think the late 1990′s when al Qaffas guy tried to copy cat the Kuwaiti maskharah plays, n guess what , he made a fortune out of it! people just LOVED it which reflected basically their shallow interests, people no longer want to think or broaden their horizon they just want to laugh out loud! and those great old plays just couldn’t compete with them anymore. Keep in mind what lately happened to Qassim Haddad when he did that work of art with Marseel Khalifa.
Bas I’m done
See u around!
Mo, what happened at the end? did you have a mushroom in your mouth?
enjoyed this one more since it was politics free
t, and the Adel Imam clip was a wonderful start. keep it up
